Day 2: La Fortuna – Chasing Waterfalls and Volcanic Views

Heading north, we arrived in La Fortuna, home to the majestic Arenal Volcano. We hiked through lush rainforest trails to reach the base of La Fortuna Waterfall, where we cooled off with a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear pool. In the evening, we relaxed in natural hot springs, enjoying breathtaking views of the active volcano against the night sky.

Day 3: Monteverde – Cloud Forest Magic

Monteverde, a cloud forest paradise, was our next stop. We explored the treetop canopy walkways, feeling like birds among the lush greenery. The hummingbirds at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve left us in awe with their vibrant colors and acrobatic displays. A highlight was our night tour, where we encountered an array of nocturnal creatures, including the elusive three-toed sloth!

Day 4: Manuel Antonio – Beach Bliss and Wildlife Wonders

Our journey led us to the Pacific Coast and the idyllic Manuel Antonio National Park. We spent the morning hiking the park’s scenic trails, encountering playful monkeys, colorful toucans, and vibrant butterflies along the way. In the afternoon, we relaxed on the pristine white-sand beaches, taking in the breathtaking views of the sparkling ocean.

Day 5: Uvita – The Enchanting Whale’s Tail

Our final destination was the hidden gem of Uvita, known for its iconic Whale’s Tail sandbar. During low tide, this natural formation resembles the tail of a giant whale, and it’s a perfect spot for snorkeling and exploring tide pools. We also took a boat tour to witness the mesmerizing humpback whale migrations, a truly awe-inspiring sight.
